    49 Applications Filed for 2 City Council Seats

    The deadline for applying to Columbus City Council chimed today at noon, and the total number of resumes submitted has climbed to 49 for the two seats being vacated by Councilmembers Mentel and Tavares.

    The applicants range from community advocate Catherine Girves to Ohio Organizer Greg Schultz to former City Council Member Kevin Boyce, who left the office two years ago after being appointed State Treasurer by Governor Ted Strickland.
