Desserts, southern fare and wood-fired cuisine all took their place in Columbus’ dining scene in October. A familiar favorite found a new home, things are getting Half Baked in Short North, there’s fire, there’s fried chicken and more! What new additions are you excited to try?
FYR
The much anticipated expansion of the Hilton Downtown made its debut, and with it live-fire grill restaurant FYR. Dishes kissed by fire populate a Latin American-inspired menu of starters and from-the-grill or from-the-wood-oven entrees for dinner. FYR’s also open for breakfast.
Spark
Aptly accompanying FYR is Spark, the hotel’s lobby bar serving up a menu of more relaxed, Midwestern fare.
Tupelo Honey
A taste of the South made its way to Upper Arlington with the opening of Tupelo Honey. The Asheville-Based eatery’s menu spans southern favorites like fried chicken, chicken & waffles and shrimp & grits, plus brunch staples like eggs benedict served four different ways.
Half Baked
You never know what you might find – in the best way possible – as Half Baked moved into the Short North offering a lineup of inventive beers and other booze-filled drinks.
Bake Me Happy
Bake Me Happy found a new home for its gluten-free goodies, offering its same line-up of nostalgia-fueled treats, coffee and gluten-free groceries from a former Post Office on the South Side.
Peach Cobbler Factory
A dozen flavors of cobbler, a dozen takes on banana pudding, cinnamon rolls and more make for a sugar-laden experience at Gahanna’s recently-opened Peach Cobbler Factory – the first location of the fast-growing chain in Central Ohio.
Noir Lounge
Noir Lounge brings some nightlife to Downtown. Start with a post-work happy hour, stay for karaoke nights, DJ sets, bottle service and more fun on the weekends
