Alchemy Juice Bar and Cafe Named One of Yelp’s 100 Top-Rated Businesses

One of Columbus’ own has been chosen by Yelp as one of the country’s top 100 businesses. Alchemy Juice Bar and Cafe, a restaurant combining healthcare and food, is the second Columbus business to be picked; Hot Chicken Takeover made it in last year.

“We are so honored to have been chosen for this amazing experience,” said co-owner Alexis Joseph. “We’ve worked very hard to create a strong brand built around nutrition, good food, and a welcoming space.”

Alchemy started in 2014. Joseph and Abed Alshahal, A&R Creative Group co-owner created the concept in hopes of providing “a flagship for healthy and sustainable eating.” Along with a menu of juices, smoothies, bowls, salads and sandwiches, Alchemy offers a variety of “cleanses” — day-long 12-juice detoxes. And a registered dietician is always on site to offer nutritional counseling.

This month, Alshahal and Joseph will head to San Francisco to learn how to better their business practices. Yelp’s second annual business summit, Coast-to-Coast: Community Powered Progress, will gather all the honorees to talk strategy in marketing, finance, and community relations. Yelp’s Ambassador Coalition, representing 80 markets nationwide, will contribute in a series of “intense workshops” touching on these topics and more.
