    Applications for Spoonflower Grants Open Through March 1

    Spoonflower, the on-demand, digital printing company that allows small businesses the opportunity to create their own custom products, has announced a grant opportunity.

    Applications for the Round One of this year’s Spoonflower Grants are open through March 1, 2021. Recipients will receive an award of Spoonflower credit to digitally print custom fabric and wallpaper for their creative pursuits.

    “I would highly encourage creatives to pursue this grant as an opportunity to grow their business,” says Sarah Marsom, creator of the Tiny Activist Project.

    Marsom uses fabric printed through Spoonflower to create the dolls she sells through the Tiny Activist Project.

    Though she has not received this grant through Spoonflower, the ability to print custom fabric has been influential for the growth of her business.

    “It is amazing to be able to create your own design and have it printed!” she says.

    Whether you want to prepare for your next craft fair, experiment with a new product, or just get your business off the ground, this grant can help you achieve the business of your dreams. 

    Spoonflower encourages anyone who has a creative small business is eligible to apply. Recipients are selected twice a year, and up to ten are chosen over the two cycles.

    Application Deadlines for the 2021 Spoonflower Grants

    Cycle 1 Application Deadline is March 1, 2021.
    Cycle 2 Application Deadline is August 15, 2021.

    Read through Spoonflower’s helpful guide for tips on applying for the grant. You will want to be able to clearly share why your business is unique. Having well lit photography of your products, and using items or prototypes that are involved in your grant request helps you stand out. A meaningful mission statement that immediately makes the purpose of your business clear is helpful to judges.
