Applications are open through November 8 for the Franklin County Community Equity Fund.
A strategic partnership between the Franklin County Board of Commissioners, One Columbus and the Columbus Urban League, the FCCEF deploys capital to support small Black and brown-owned businesses that have been disproportionally impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Made possible through a $1,000,050 investment from the Board of Commissioners, two grants are available:
- Open Doors – small business stabilization grants up to $10,000 for Franklin County small businesses with up to 25 employees who started their business on or before October 7, 2019.
- New Ventures – small business start-up grants up to $5,000 for Franklin County small businesses with up to 25 employees who started operations between October 8, 2019, and September 7, 2021.
Each applicant who meets program requirements is eligible for one of the grants listed above, plus an additional $1,000 per W-2 employee (up to $5,000).
Grants are available for Black and brown business owners in Franklin County who did not receive an Equity Fund grant in 2020.
