Kristy Yosick, a self-described chocoholic, will feed her habit and that of others with her new shop in German Village.

Yosick’s Artisan Chocolates opened earlier this week in 1,400 square feet at 539 S. Fifth St. The store will use, whenever possible, organic and free-trade ingredients. All items will be kosher.

One of the store’s specialties is handmade truffles, Yosick said. Three featured flavors will be traditional dark chocolate ganache covered with dark chocolate; milk chocolate hazelnut ganache topped with milk chocolate; and white chocolate ganache with pink grapefruit crowned in white chocolate.
