    Betty’s in the Short North is practically an institution by now — just ask the carousing crowds that constantly cram in for drinks and eats. They clearly love it. And who wouldn’t? Betty’s puts the fun in funky.

    Check out its collection of cutesy-ditsy doggies canoodling on a shelf above the bar. That daffy pack looks like it could have escaped from the kitschy ceramic kennel of schlock-loving artist Jeff Koons. Same thing with Betty’s collection of Bettie Page-like illustrated ladies hanging on the wall. That fleshy bevy of disingenuous ingénues would be right down Koons’ flirty alley.
