Budd Dairy Food Hall opened its doors with one rotating kitchen space and now it’s adding another.
Sugar will welcome an evolving selection of dessert makers in the stall formerly occupied by Stauf’s Coffee Roasters. Stauf’s announced its departure from the concept last month, but hinted at a comeback in the neighborhood.
The first vendor to call Sugar home will be Mrs. Turbo’s Cookies.
As of September 14, the retro-themed bakery will be slinging a selection of sweets including cookies in a variety of flavors – chocolate chip, salted caramel chocolate chip, peanut butter chocolate chip, and many more – as well as brownies, buckeyes, whoopie pies and other delectable eats.
Mrs. Turbo’s cookies opened its first brick-and-mortar bakery in Gahanna in April 2016, which has since closed, followed by a second location in 2018 at 178 Olentangy St. in Powell. Budd Dairy will bring the cookie maker back up to two locations.
Mrs. Turbo’s arrives just in time to keep a dessert option in the lineup at Budd Dairy.
Hatch, the other rotating kitchen space at the food hall, will say goodbye to its first occupant, The Cheesecake Girl, as of Sunday, September 12.
Always meant to be a temporary endeavor, The Cheesecake Girl will turn its sights to its new Dublin storefront, which will celebrate its grand opening at 4345 W. Dublin-Granville Rd. on Friday, September 10. The Cheesecake Girl has also set up shop at Center Street Market in Hilliard.
Budd Dairy Food Hall, 1086 N. Fourth St. in Italian Village, is open Tuesday and Wednesday from 4 – 11 p.m., Thursday from 11 a.m. – 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. – 12 a.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.
