Five months ago, Fatih Gunal became the fourth owner of Cafe Istanbul, where he also serves as executive chef. Gunal has proceeded cautiously with the menu of the restaurant, in the north end of Easton Town Center.
His complimentary yeast-raised flatbread, which has been reliably good, is served with genuine olive oil that has been seasoned unnecessarily with a paste of sweet red peppers.
