Cameron Mitchell Restaurants Plans New Concept for Old Rigsby’s Kitchen Space

The space that once belonged to Rigsby’s Kitchen, the popular and high-end Short North restaurant that closed in 2015, will find a new purpose by next spring.

The Wood Companies will lease the space out to Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, the restaurant group that owns other neighborhood restaurants The Guild House, Marcella’s, Martini Modern Italian and The Pearl (another Wood Companies-CMR collaboration). Specifics on the concept have yet to be disclosed, but Mark Wood, president of Wood Companies, said it was chosen from a pool of many applicants.

“It is an honor to work with Cameron Mitchell Restaurants on another destination restaurant that will offer an additional new dining experience to the Short North,” Wood said in a press release. “We held this space for a long time, and turned away a lot of users who did not have the same vision for the neighborhood that we did. This new concept will add even more energy to this block in its strategic and highly visible location across the street from the 711 N High office tower.”
