Cause Collaborative Returns to Help Local Nonprofits Thrive

Cause Collaborative is back for a second year of helping local nonprofits achieve their missions. This one-day workshop event was created in 2011 as a joint effort between Community Shares of Mid Ohio and Fulcrum Creatives. Over a dozen panelists will speak on topics ranging from strategy and planning to public relations to social entrepreneurship.

“Last year we were blown away from the community’s response and interest in Cause Collaborative,” says Teresa Trost, Executive Director of Community Shares of Mid Ohio. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to be bringing back this event to support our nonprofit community.”

Community Shares joined forces with Fulcrum Creatives on this effort because of a mutual passion behind giving back to the community. Liz Samuelson, Principle at Fulcrum recently penned an article for the “Big Idea” series here on Columbus Underground on the topic of creative leverage for the greater good.

“There are many nonprofits in Columbus now that might be small but are still mighty, and their leaders are doing important, innovative work in our community,” says Samuelson. “Cause Collaborative helps move their missions forward by teaching new approaches to problems from colleagues who have already been there and done that.”

In addition to panels of speakers, Cause Collaborative includes breakfast, lunch and a networking cocktail hour. Tickets are $23 for half-day attendance or $35 for full day attendance. Cause Collaborative takes place on Friday, May 18th from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm at Wild Goose Creative.
