The latest entry into the Columbus nightlife scene is a departure from your traditional offering. Fleur, located at 114 North Third Street, is solely focused on champagne, vodka, cocktails and desserts.
“We’re not a club, and we’re not a bar per se,” explained owner Roopan Dey. “This is a place to come have a conversation, hang out, listen to some great music and try out some different international drinks.”
Over 50 varieties of champagne are available behind the bar, and desserts are curated from bakeries around Central Ohio, offering a frequent rotation to the menu.
“We offer a wide variety of prices because I want people to come in and not feel intimidated,” said Dey. “We have bottles of champagne ranging from $10 all the way up to over $1000.”
“There’s something for everybody here,” he added.
The location at the corner of Third and Long Street was formerly home to a real estate office company, and has been completely renovated during the transformation into Fleur. The bar sits directly below The Exchange Urban Lofts condominium building where Dey is also a resident.
“This is a great corner Downtown and I love providing new things to bring more people Downtown,” said Dey.
“Also, in about two weeks we’ll start opening Fleur at 6am to serve coffee,” he added.
The Grand Opening of Fleur takes place tonight at 7pm.
Normal hours of operation will be Monday through Saturday, 4pm to 2:30am.
