Joel Kotkin at NewGeography.com just posted up an article yesterday about the new “Boom Towns” in the US. These are the cities that are positioned to grow and prosper over the course of the next 10 years.
The regional rankings are calculated with multiple factors including current and projected job growth, demographic information, education levels and each region’s entrepreneurial viability.
Our southern rival Austin topped the list, and Columbus clocked in at a healthy 13th place, which sounds like a continued path of the slow and steady growth that we’ve already seen over the past decade.
Columbus was the standout city in Ohio, with Cincinnati and Cleveland ranking 35th and 51st respectively.
