Crepes a la Carte opened eight months ago and changed the way Central Ohioans thought of wraps. Known especially for their vast varieties of sweet-filled crepes, those thin pancakes that can filled with virtually any combination of ingredients, Rosa Huff, owner of Crepes a la Carte, has been overwhelmed by the support from the Downtown Columbus community.
To repay this kindness and encouragement, Crepes a la Carte will expand their business by establishing a pop-up creperie in The Hills Market Downtown beginning this Spring. The Hills Market Sunday Brunch will run from 8am-2pm and will feature special menu items designed in part by Chef Matthew Heaggans of the Swoop! food truck.
“We’re focusing on flavors and textures meant to satisfy,” said Huff. “We are also always in development of new seasonal savory or sweet offerings, always carefully considering local products”.
Partnering with The Hills Market Downtown means that Huff will continue to have access to the Ohio-grown produce she prefers. She’s also always open to feedback from customers on everything from menu items to quality of service.
“We have made a few minor tweaks to our batter recipe. This ‘new and improved’ batter was tested among some of our most loyal customers and it has been very well received”.
To try this new recipe in all of Crepes a la Carte’s scrumptious options, visit The Hills Market Downtown at 95 N. Grant Avenue from Sunday, March 24th. You can follow the Carte at www.facebook.com/Crepes-A-La-Carte for daily updates.
