    Crew Falls 0-1 to Whitecaps

    The Columbus Crew (3-4-3, 12 points) returned home after a two-match road trip, but fell to the visiting Vancouver Whitecaps FC (4-2-4, 16 points) by a final score of 1-0 on Saturday night at Crew Stadium.

    Erik Hurtado notched his first career MLS goal in the 37th minute, which held-up as the game-winner. David Ousted, Whitecaps FC’s goalkeeper, assisted Hurtado’s left-footed strike from just outside the penalty area.

    The Crew concluded a stretch of three matches in seven days and next plays on Saturday, May 17 when the team travels to Providence Park to face the Portland Timbers (10:30 p.m. ET / Time Warner Cable SportsChannel).
