Starbucks isn’t the only cafe in town where beer and coffee flavors are being combined this fall. Locally-based Crimson Cup is debuting their Dry Hopped Nitro cold-brew tomorrow afternoon at their Clintonville location to kick off their Oktoberfest celebration in style.
The cold-brew coffee is described as having the creamy texture of a stout with a hoppy taste that lends floral, citrus and herb notes to the flavor.
“Driven by a commitment to craft beverages, our coffee team has been experimenting with different drink recipes that take advantage of the new nitrogen tap system at our coffee house,” said Crimson Cup Founder and President Greg Ubert. “After months of testing, they’ve produced a product perfect for the season.”
On Thursday, September 25, an Oktoberfest Celebration at Crimson Cup runs from 4pm to 7pm and will feature free samples of the drink, food samples from Schmidt’s Food Truck and of course… polka music. Hopped Nitro will be for sale at the Clintonville cafe from September 25th through October 31st, while supplies last.
