Dine Originals Week has returned, and this week’s edition runs from March 5th through the 11th. All 50+ local restaurants that are Dine Originals members participate to offer fixed-priced menus in the $10, $20 and $30 categories. So whether you’re interested in a cheap lunch, or a fancy dinner, there’s something to be found for all occasions.

Anne & I stopped into Black Creek Bistro for lunch today and had their Black Bean Burger with Avocado Sauce. It was their lunch special for today – for $10 you received the Burger plus a side and a drink (non-alcoholic) plus your choice of brownie or cookie.

It was a good deal and I’m still feeling stuffed! The black bean burger had a very nice texture, was moist and stayed together well. The avocado sauce was lightly flavored with cilantro and added a creaminess to the burger. Topping the burger was a thick tomato slice and a handful of fresh greens, and the bun was lightly toasted. Their bistro fries are cut nice and thin, had a crispy texture and a dusting of salt flakes. With the cookie or brownie, this was a generous lunch and a great deal for $10 per person.

Dine Originals Week offers you the best of local dining at great prices. Part of the Proceeds will benefit the education programs of Local Matters. Click here to check out the menus.
