    Suzi West lives in a very small home. To be exact, West’s itty-bitty pad in the Short North’s Yukon building is 557 square feet.

    While West’s might seem to be an unusual case, she is in fact part of a trend — some say a revolution — toward downsizing homes with style. It’s a trend that is only recently beginning to catch on in Columbus.

    “We had 28 units at the Yukon, and we sold all 28 of them very steadily,” said Andy Schiffman of the Plaza Properties sales and marketing team. “They ranged in size from 490 to 620 square feet. We sold 28 of those in about 18 months. The last one closed a year ago, October 2007.
