EASE Logistics Continues to Grow in Dublin with New Global HQ

People driving past 6000 Perimeter Dr. in Dublin have likely seen a major construction project underway. What they’re looking at is the future site of what will be called the “EASE Building”—the new global headquarters of EASE Logistics.

The business launched in 2014 as a third-party logistics company. It offers services to automotive and aerospace, along with food & beverage companies. The new headquarters will be completed in 2024, a decade after the company’s founding.

    Renovating and Rebuilding

The new 150,000-square-foot headquarters will be where approximately 700 employees will come into work.

The building was formerly home to Fiserv, a consumer marketing services company. That organization announced its plans to depart Dublin in 2020 and the structure has been empty ever since.

Until EASE decided it was perfect for them.

“We considered building from scratch, but we knew there were existing buildings in Dublin ready for a new tenant,” said Peter Coratola, Jr, the company’s founder. “By taking over an existing structure, we could contribute to the revitalization of our community and align with our commitment to sustainability.”

As of this spring, the old walls of the property have been torn down, with rewiring underway as they update the bare bones of the building to meet city codes and guidelines.

“After that, we will get started on the aesthetics of the building to give it our signature ‘EASE look’ while working on the environmental design,” said Coratola.

“EASE is committed to creating resiliency across the supply chain and in its business,” he added. “We will focus on sustainable practices during renovation and operation, including recycling materials used during construction and installing solar panels and energy-saving lights in the EASE Building.”

    Surpassing Capacity

EASE is no stranger to Dublin, with three company offices sitting along Avery Road. But they were quickly reaching capacity.

“We’ve surpassed our employee hiring projections every year because we continue to attract new customers and expand our existing customer accounts based on word-of-mouth and our award-winning service,” Coratola said.

The search for a new home commenced in early 2022 after it was determined purchasing a larger building was better than continuing to procure smaller offices.

The new headquarters will offer ample space for their ballooning workforce, plentiful parking, and proximity to the company’s other buildings, so employees won’t have to make large changes to their commute.

It will also have plenty of amenities to improve the workplace experience for employees. This includes a large gym, a corporate training space, a cafeteria, a mini-mart and space for health and wellness services.

    A Community Focus

The site will also feature an indoor-outdoor community gathering space where EASE will host events like community meetings, philanthropic events and food truck festivals.

“EASE was founded and has grown in Dublin,” Coratola said. “The people and the partnerships we have made here are helping us succeed.”

And now company leaders seek to give back. They want the new headquarters to serve “as a staple in the community of innovation, community engagement and economic growth.”

The company has supported and hosted various initiatives and charitable events, and its goal is to keep the pedal to the metal with its community focus.

“We want to continue to have space for collaboration with local partners,” he said. “EASE has established an Innovation Hub at 6100 Avery Road in Dublin, a dedicated meeting space designed to bring together community, business, and education leaders for corporate training programs, community hackathons and networking.”

He also wants the local community to have a say in the new headquarters.

“The new location is slated to feature works of local, Columbus-based artists, from students to professionals,” Coratola said. “When customers, visitors, and partners come to visit us, they will see the talent in our community displayed throughout our office, event and meeting spaces.”

Company leaders will be putting out a request later this year, calling for local artists who want to have their work featured.

    A Strong Partner

Coratola praised the City of Dublin as a strong partner.

“From the start, Dublin has been a considerable part of EASE’s success through direct and indirect avenues, economic development, connections to neighboring cities, opportunities within the community, and local business relationships,” Coratola said. “All of these factors have been huge drivers of EASE’s growth.”

“They’ve been a cheerleader for our success, making us feel like a valuable part of this community,” he added.
