After a 3 yr pandemic hiatus, the Asian Festival is finally coming back in person! Kickoff the weekend festivities on the eve of the festival at this Kpop party in a Asian-themed nightclub, Double Happiness.
The Asian Festival is coming back in person after a THREE year pandemic hiatus! You’ve waited literally years to celebrate API Awareness month at Franklin Park and now it’s finally happening. Kpop Dance Columbus and Double Happiness are teaming up to co-host this dance party on the eve of the festival. Let’s kick off a weekend of Asian festivities by dancing and singing to Kpop. Legendary midwest Kpop DJ, Tommy “I’mYOOnotYou”, is coming all the way from Pittsburgh, PA to spin for this dance party. We will play Kpop songs which incorporate traditional Asian instruments and themes like “Lit”, “Thunderous”, “Aya” “Daechwita” and “Kick It”, as well all your usual favorites to get you in the right mood for the Asian Festival.
Double Happiness is a one-of-a-kind, beautifully decorated, uniquely Asian-themed nightclub in downtown Columbus. It has a dance floor on the lower level and an upper level with seating to hang out or dance. There is also a patio space for more dancing. Most people will probably Uber, but there is a convenient garage right next to the club.
Come drink and be merry with us on Friday before you head over to the Asian Festival the next day to nurse your hangover with egg rolls, dumplings, and samosas! Age 18+
