Columbus Arts Festival

Notable local and national artists from around the country will exhibit and sell their work at the 2023 Columbus Arts Festival, produced by the Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC) and presented by the American Electric Power Foundation, June 9-11 on Columbus’ downtown riverfront.

“Following the success of our 2022 Festival, with some of the biggest crowds and best sales ever, we’re excited to continue growing the Columbus Arts Festival,” said Alexis Perrone, Arts Festival director. “The Festival is a prime welcome-to-summer event that draws visitors for exceptional visual art, music, dance, theater, food, film, family activities and so much more.”

More than 200 artists were invited to exhibit at the 2023 festival, including 11 of the 12 award-winners from 2022. More than three dozen Ohio artists are represented as well. In addition to the established artists who exhibit, the Columbus Arts Festival invited 18 artists who were selected by the jury panel to participate in the Emerging Festival Artist program. Created in 2011, the Emerging Festival Artist program is for artists who have limited or no experience exhibiting at national festivals.

Arts Fest brews its own beer!

Recently the Arts Fest team went to visit Rhinegeist Brewery where they jumped in to help the brewers sketch out a lively Hoppy Wheat Ale. After laying down a tasty canvas of Ekuanot and El Dorado hops, the brew team got creative with Sketch, applying bold strokes of experimental hop HBC 586. Fresh citrus aromas are outlined with a pleasantly creamy mouthfeel and cross hatched with bright notes of orange and grapefruit peel for a frame-worthy brew with refreshing perspective. Sketch is a limited release, available on draft at the Festival in and where Rhinegeist is on tap in Columbus.
