In partnership with Global Water Dances Columbus, Brother(hood) Dance! leads an immersive dance workshop focused on the body and its connection to the natural world.
Following their performance in H2O Danceworks: Columbus Choreographers Showcase on April 7 and 8, Orlando Zane Hunter Jr. and Ricarrdo Valentine of Columbus-based duo Brother(hood) Dance! will guide participants in connecting their bodies to our natural environment. Both performers are also graduate students in Ohio State’s Department of Dance.
Programmed in conjunction with our current exhibitions, which similarly call attention to the cultural significance of land and water, this workshop asks us to consider how individuals can use movement to express messages around sustainability, water, and the earth.
We encourage attendees to wear comfortable clothing appropriate for movement. Lunch will be provided!
