    Councilmember Shayla Favor to Host Hearing on Upcoming Housing Legislation

    The hearing will review two pieces of legislation; Pay to Stay and Third Party Payment.

    Councilmember Shayla Favor will hold a public hearing as an opportunity to listen to community members about upcoming housing legislation regarding “Pay to Stay” and “Third Party Payment.”

    Pay to Stay -This legislation would allow residents time to secure rental assistance dollars up until an eviction judgement.

    Third Party Payments – This legislation would require landlords to accept a third party payment on behalf of a tenant if that tenant is not in breach of their rental agreement.
