Green Lawn Cemetery Bike Tour

    Green Lawn Cemetery Bike Tour

Description: The Green Lawn Cemetery Bike Tour is guided and narrated by historian Randy Rogers and Matthew Wolf.  This tour is a great way to traverse this 300+ acre cemetery and learn about the rich local history contained within this iconic landmark. Green Lawn is one of the oldest and largest cemeteries in Ohio…and perhaps the best museum in Columbus! The tour stops at several locations for informative talks about notable graves, monuments, mausoleums, and the historic Huntington Chapel. Green Lawn is home to several state champion trees, as well as a recognized bird sanctuary.

Starts:  2:00pm. The tour lasts about 2 hours, with multiple stops.  Please bring water or a cold beverage.

Location: The tour begins & ends in front of Green Lawn Abbey (700 Greenlawn Ave, Columbus, OH 43223). This is located a short distance outside the cemetery. Parking is free.

Bikes: If you don’t have a bicycle, Outdoor Pursuits can provide a cruiser style bike for $10. Or bring your own bike (please indicate on the registration).

Bike Helmets: All riders must wear a fastened bike helmet. No exceptions. If you do not have a helmet, we can provide one for you free-of-charge.

Restrooms: Available at Huntington Chapel in the cemetery.
