Lithopolis Honeyfest
The Lithopolis Honeyfest is a non-profit event with a mission to raise awareness of the importance of the honey bee on crop pollination, to increase the consumption of honey, and to educate about the science and industry of beekeeping. With the involvement of honey and beekeeping trade associations, we see this event as a component in preserving apiculture in Ohio.
Back for our SWEET 16th YEAR! All things honey and honeybee. Nearly 100 craft and food vendors, photo contest, honey contest, bake-off, beehive demonstrations, the mead garden and MORE!! And this year – back by popular demand – the LIVE BEE BEARD! (Just a little something we do where we put a few thousand live bees on someone’s BARE SKIN…that’s all!) The event takes over downtown Lithopolis AND Wagnalls Memorial Library. Join us from 3pm-7pm on Friday, September 8, and again on Saturday, September 9 from 10am until 7pm.
