First Look: Aardvark Wine & Beer Now Open in Linworth

Just in time for the holiday imbibing season, a new bottle shop has opened its doors. Aardvark Wine & Beer made its debut last week at 2355 W. Dublin Granville Rd. in Linworth.

A bright blue exterior and artful aardvark mural by local artist Nick Stull point the way to the shop which will house between 350-400 varieties of wine. Owner Donnie Austin aims to build a wine-focused destination by primarily stocking bottles in the $10 -$30 price range – accessible, every day wines. Aardvark’s selection runs the gamut of styles, from classic whites and reds, to orange, rosé and bubbly varieties.

For the beer crowd, there’s over a half dozen coolers stocking everything from NA-options, ciders and seltzers, to picks from local breweries.

All imbibing will happen off-site for now, but there’s room for Aardvark to grow. Taking over the former home of JT’s Grab & Go, Aardvark is currently only occupying about half of the 3,500 square foot building. Austin hopes to renovate the additional space to provide room and seating for on-site consumption.

    Aardvark is open daily with hours from 12 – 9 p.m. Monday to Friday, 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday.
