The Columbus-based winery made the move from the Brewery District to the South Side, joining a growing hub of businesses at The Fort. Owner Michael ElmerĀ is excited to be part of what is becoming a southern gateway to the city.

When making the move to a new location, “We really wanted a space where we were going to be able to have the winery forefront as well as the actual event space,” Elmer says.

The event space is ready for booking weddings, corporate and community events, and more. The winery will make the move in 2020, and the two will share a private courtyard with a 3,000 square foot patio. Guests can utilize the patio as a dance floor, or add a little fun to their wedding with the lineup of lawn games like giant Jenga, giant connect four, cornhole and more that Elmer wants to bring to the space.

The open-concept inside space can accommodate 300 guests, with a a wine barrel bar and commercial kitchen for Via Vecchia’s catering partners. The winery has historically worked with Milo’s and Creative Cuisine, and recently added City BBQ to their list of preferred caterers. There’s also a mezzanine level overlooking the event space.
