Five Stops for Gallery Hop – August 2011 Edition

Yeah, it looks like it’s going to rain this evening. But don’t let that keep you away from Gallery Hop… just don’t forget your umbrella! Once again, here’s five picks for places to stop, dine, shop and view art this month while you’re out on the town.

    1. Art – Strand Cafe Mural Creation

The Strand Cafe Ultra Salon, located at 1129 North High Street is hosting a B.R.U.S.H. Experience event starting at 5pm where seven artists will create a wall mural display inside the salon. More information can be found at www.strandcafesalon.com.

    2. Dining – Rigsby’s Kitchen

We just had a taste of Rigsby’s Kitchen last week at our official Columbus Underground Happy Hour, but we’re already looking forward to a return. Sip on a delicious summer cocktail at the bar, or grab some reservations for dinner.

    3. Shopping – Fringe Outfitters

Fringe Outfitters continues to “pop up” during Gallery Hop to offer clothing and accessories in a relaxed setting. This month features an art exhibit from Katie Herbst and Nate Burns as well as new publications from Filigree Literary Magazine.

    4. Entertainment – Cycle Tavern

The new bus/bar vehicle “Cycle Tavern” debuted recently, and you can book this service for riding around during Gallery Hop in style. More information can be found in our announcement article HERE.

    5. Groceries? – The New Kroger

Is it in Weinland Park? Or is it in the Short North? It doesn’t really matter if you’re out tonight and need groceries, because it’s now open and it’s close by. Swing by and check out the new Kroger if you haven’t already.

What else are you looking forward to at Gallery Hop tonight?
