Gas tops $2 per gallon again – How high will it go?

The AP is reporting that national gas prices are back up to the $2 mark as of yesterday, which is the highest we’ve seen since November. According to Columbusgasprices.com, our city’s average is currently at $2.08, which is just above the national average at $2.01. Of course, this is nowhere near as bad as it was last year as analysts predicted $4 gasoline by Memorial Day and they only missed the mark by one week.

It’s been awhile since we’ve played the guessing game, it’s as good a time as any to start making that call for the magic date of Memorial Day. Anyone care to share their speculation on what a gallon of gas in Columbus is going to cost in another two months?
