An open and airy loft space located Downtown was recently repurposed as a photography-centric event space to offer locals a place to host sessions for modeling and product photography.
Located at 153 East Main street on the second floor of the Hawk Galleries building, Hi-Lo Studios is a spinoff from local design firm Bonfire Red, located on the third floor of the same building. Approximately 2,700 square feet of space can be found at Hi-Lo, subdivided into several smaller rooms, each with retractable backdrop screening and filtered overhead lighting.
Caleb Ely, Studio Manager at Hi-Lo and a Senior Producer at Bonfire Red, provided The Metropreneur recently with a tour of the space, sharing that in addition to photo shoots, the space is a perfect size for smaller events with a max capacity of 125 people.
“My personal background is in photography, but with events we can cast a wider net,” said Ely. “There are some great wedding venues nearby and this could act as a pre-wedding hangout space for bridal or groomsmen parties.”
Ely said that to keep things simple and streamlined, Hi-Lo charges flat daily rate, which is $1000 per day at the time of publishing this article. That charge includes use of the full space including lounge and kitchenette areas.
