    High-End Restaurants are Serving up Savings

    Hard economic times are hurting not only burgers-and-fries joints but also steak-and-martini restaurants. Higher-end restaurants, typically not known for giving discounts or accepting coupons, increasingly are offering deals to lure customers.

    Columbus Fish Market, McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants, Morton’s The Steakhouse and Ruth’s Chris Steak House recently have advertised promotions or contacted customers about specially priced meals.

    The big-dollar restaurants don’t have much choice, observers say.
