    Concrete noise barrier insulates homeowners from highway’s hum

    The installation last week of the 24-foot-high concrete walls along the east side of I-71 between Hudson Street and Weber Road caught the attention of drivers as cranes lowered the sections between support posts. The backyards that drivers were used to seeing now were hidden behind 2,370 feet of white, textured wall.
