The Hills Market just officially launched their online store “Hills on the Go” to provide an easy way for shoppers to place online grocery orders with the option of home delivery service.
“Customers from throughout Central Ohio have asked us for years to open a location in their neighborhoods,” said Jill Moorhead, Marketing Director at The Hills Market. “While it’s technically difficult for us to open brick and mortar locations in New Albany, Dublin, German Village, Upper Arlington, Hilliard and so on, we are now offering our services to the residents of these neighborhoods and several more through our online store.”
Hillsonthego.com is being launched after nearly a year in development. The project has been spearheaded by Amanda Anderson who was hired specifically to work on this new sector of the market. As a self-described “professional foodie”, Amanda has placed a strong emphasis on local products with this new project.
“The produce, butcher shop, seafood and cheese departments are updated daily,” explained Anderson. “That allows our online products to reflect seasonal offerings, such as Ohio asparagus, morels and tomatoes.”
The online store currently has a total of over 5,000 products ranging from baby food to Snowville Creamery Milk to frozen waffles.
When checking out online, customers have the choice of stopping by the store for pick-up at no extra charge, or scheduling a home delivery for a fee based on zip code and distance from the store. Orders placed before 4pm can be scheduled for same-day delivery.
“Because we’ve just started this process, we need to find out what our customers want to be on our online store,” said Anderson. “We’ve started with our best-selling or favorite items, but we need to know what you want. Feel free to e-mail me or call me (614.846.3220) with your requests, and I can add them to the site for you, if we have it in stock.”
