Hubbard Grille Opens in The Short North

One of the most talked about restaurant renovations throughout 2010 will officially be coming to life in just two more weeks. Hubbard Grille, located at 793 North High Street in the former Rosendale’s location is currently in the process of preparing for their grand opening on Friday, January 7th.

The experience at Hubbard Grille is being described as “modern Americana” with a focus on comfort and quality. Their menu will feature local and organic choices, including a southern-style, truffle oil fried chicken and a Short North Cobb Salad with a creamy avocado dressing.

“We’re serious about the experience, the food, the drinks, the affable atmosphere, but what will really keep this concept soaring is never taking ourselves too seriously,” said Daniel Morris, General Manager.

Hubbard Grille will also feature “Table Tap technology” that will allow customers to order self-pour house-made cocktails, priced by the ounce.

Another new addition to the space will be a large new retro-looking neon sign going up on the exterior of the building, paying tribute to the original Winder’s Chevrolet business that opened in the building back in 1924.

The interior of the building has been given a complete makeover as well, with a focus on both sophistication and approachability.

“We wanted a place that was rooted in the present, reverent of the past, while remaining balanced and bold toward the future,” said Sheila Trautner, of Taste Hospitality Group, the management group that owns and manages Hubbard Grille. “I wanted to create a place where people feel welcome and can enjoy themselves. It’s very important to me that people make the experience at Hubbard Grille what they want it to be.”

Hubbard Grille will be opening to the public on Friday, January 7th. Hours are 4pm until “late”, Tuesday through Sunday.

More information will be online soon at www.hubbardgrille.com.
