    John Waddy Jr.’s friends call him the “Mayor of Long Street,” and the Columbus attorney doesn’t shirk from the responsibility that comes with an honorary title like that.

    That includes cheering on redevelopment efforts in the King Lincoln Arts and Entertainment District, near the east side neighborhood where Waddy has his law office and home.

    But he is also putting his money where his mouth is as an investor in a $1.9 million renovation project in which a once boarded-up apartment house off Long Street is being converted to the 12-unit Hamilton Park Place condominiums.
