Like the Penzone Salon + Spa in Dublin which won the prestigious National American Hairstyling Award for salon design in 2019, the Penzone Polaris location at 771 Polaris Parkway  features open areas for socializing and promotes holistic products and experiences such as Ayurvedic massages and cold-pressed juices from & Juice Co.

“We also feature jewelry and some other amazing items from Bohindi in Upper Arlington,” said Penzone. “We love supporting local companies and artists.”

There will be several types of yoga and fitness classes at the Penzone Polaris location including LIT Life + Yoga’s famous sound baths as well as a variety of yoga flow experiences  and barre classes. Luminaries from LIT Life + Yoga such as the studio manager Babajide Ogunmola, and healing expert Colleen Gallick, will lead sessions in a high-ceilinged, multipurpose room near the spa lounge.

Debra Penzone developed LIT Life + Yoga while supervising the new concepts and building of the brand new Penzone Dublin location.  Several of the concepts tried out at LIT, such as using SoundOff wireless headphones, have now appeared at Penzone locations. LIT Life + Yoga opened in 2017 and from day one has offered high-quality, innovative flow yoga classes and a welcoming spirit.

“Our guests are everything,” notes Penzone. LIT Life + Yoga is also one of the few yoga studios in Columbus to offer an aerial yoga program, and has a charitable foundation to aid Columbus’ non-profits.

“It’s all about community,” notes Debra Penzone, who is both a volunteer and philanthropist. “We are so happy when we can give back to the wonderful people who have supported us.”

Established in Columbus’ Italian Village in 1969, Charles Penzone Inc. has been an innovator in the salon and spa business for decades and has been steadily re-inventing itself with Debra Penzone at the helm. The firm also operates the Royal Rhino Club Barbershop and Lounge which pioneered serving their guests  alcoholic beverages. Royal Rhino now has its own house brand of bourbon which is available at Penzone’s in Dublin and Polaris along with wine, mimosas, and other items. Other amenities at the new Penzone in Polaris include WiFi and thoughtfully-placed electrical outlets at the Color Bar so guests can plug in while processing.

Holistic health and healing has been a passion of Debra Penzone’s for years.  She has brought many clean beauty brands into the Penzone salons and tried to balance updates with respect for tradition. “It is really bold and daring to re-invent yourself, inside and out, but we all change.”
