Greenleaf Apothecaries operates The Botanist dispensaries, of which there are four locations already open across the state, including Columbus, Canton, Wickliffe and Cleveland, with a fifth in Akron on the way.

Each is managed by a state-licensed pharmacist.

“Hiring pharmacists to run our dispensaries is a commitment Greenleaf made to Ohio’s patients to ensure we are providing the best possible care and education every visit,” said Kate Nelson, COO of Greenleaf in a press release. “Our pharmacists and dispensary agents counsel patients on the whole plant lifecycle – from terpenes and genetics to cultivation and processing methodologies. Our goal is to assist patients in identifying the appropriate products for their qualifying medical condition.”

The Botanist’s line of products includes a wide range of flower, as well as oil cartridges and concentrates for vaporization, edibles, tinctures, transdermal patches and topicals.

The Botanist will be open from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 12 – 6 p.m. Saturday. To enter the dispensary department, Ohio residents must have an active registration as an Ohio medical cannabis patient or caregiver. Parking is available in the lot at the corner of Kilbourne and Vine Streets in spots with dedicated signage.

The Botanist is the fourth medical marijuana dispensary to open in Columbus according to MedicalMarijuana.Ohio.Gov. A fifth license was initially awarded to Harvest of Ohio, at 2950 N. High St. in Clintonville, but that location has not yet opened, due to claims it misled state regulators regarding its ownership, as outlined in an article on Cincinnati.com.
