Mikey’s PizzAssault Truck will trade the streets of Columbus for a permanent spot at Land-Grant Brewing Company in Franklinton, 424 W. Town St. The Late Night Slice truck will begin its brewery residency on Thursday, May 12.
LNS will join Ray Ray’s Hog Pit, which has been slinging barbecue out of its designated on-site food truck since late 2017.
“We’ve been searching high and low for the perfect home base for our truck, and I couldn’t be more excited to be partnering with our friends at Land-Grant for this upcoming season,” said Mikey Sorboro, founder of LNS Restaurant Group. ”The synergy between Ray Ray’s, Late Night Slice and Land-Grant’s amazing beer garden space is going to make for an epic outdoor season.”
(And let’s not forget the epic LNS-Ray Ray’s collab that was The Gobbler.)
LNS’ arrival will usher in the early days of beer garden season at Land-Grant. The summer months bring the return of free live music Thursdays and Music Market Sundays, featuring live tunes and a rotating lineup of pop-up shops every week. And that’s not all. The beer garden will host cornhole on Mondays, trivia and movie nights on Tuesdays, the All Are Welcome DJ Series on Fridays and starting in June, yoga on Saturday mornings.
“With so many things we love returning to the beer garden, the addition of Mikey’s Late Night Slice is going to strengthen our customers’ experience by allowing another Columbus institution to serve alongside Ray Ray’s,” said Land-Grant Co-Founder and President, Adam Benner. “We’ve always enjoyed Mikey’s – both the pizza and the folks on their team (especially after sharing a crazy experience on a bus trip to Toronto with fellow #SaveTheCrew supporters back in 2017) – and we’re excited to see this friendship grow.”
LNS will be slinging pies during taproom hours from Thursday through Monday (and stay open late until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday). Ray Ray’s Hours are Thursday to Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
It’s been a busy year for LNS. In addition to finding a permanent home for its food truck, Mikey’s recently opened an outpost in the Hollywood Casino and set up shop in Olde Towne East.
