Construction could start as soon as this month on another 166 apartments at Grandview Yard. Nationwide Realty Investors (NRI) announced the project today, saying that the new building is their response to a very strong rental market.
“The demand for our for-lease product at Grandview Yard has been high,” said President and COO Brian Ellis, adding that, “our first two phases are fully leased.”
Those first two phases include the 120-unit Keystone Building, which was completed last fall, and the Pullman, Porter and Baldwin buildings, which together hold 154 units and were completed in the fall of 2012.
The new building, to be called the Brooks, will be located just north of the new 800 Yard Street office building. It will be four stories and feature an underground, 128-space parking garage. One- and two-bedroom apartments will range from 722 to 1,219 square feet.
NRI said that construction could be finished on the project as early as next summer, which would put it on a similar schedule as a new 135-room Courtyard by Marriott and a 13,000 square foot event center, both currently under construction on Goodale Boulevard. Also under construction at Grandview Yard is the first of three office buildings for Nationwide Insurance, which is relocating employees to the development from Dublin.
Also planned for the 100-plus acre site is 20 new single family homes and 25 new for-sale townhomes, which are being developed by Wagenbrenner Development.
