Yesterday, the Ohio Department of Transportation announced their annual construction project lineup for 2009. Many of the projects announced are spread out all over the state, but there are two major construction sites worth noting in Columbus. The first is a $24-million resurfacing project along 315 near OSU that includes some bridge maintenance work and will force several ramp closures all summer long. The other project is the completion of the $30-million Port Columbus International Gateway construction. All in all, a total of $1.9 Billion dollars is being spent by ODOT this year on highway construction.
