Due to the success of booking art studio space at 400 West Rich, another nearby warehouse building has been undergoing a conversion to a similar use. The former B&T Metals Chromedge building at 289 West Walnut has been converted to approximately 30 studio spaces, and project manager Chris Sherman said that they’re already nearly fully leased.
While the art studios are nearly completed, there are two area still under construction: an open area facing Rich Street that still needs divided into studios, and an upstairs space that is planned for creative office use.
“It would be perfect for a small architectural firm,” stated Sherman.
