Irish post-punk five-piece Fontaines D.C. continued their headlining U.S. tour with a stop at the Newport Music Hall.
With newly-released third album Skinty Fia gaining rave reviews and scoring the Dubliners their first UK number 1, it was clear the band is on a bit of a high right now as vocalist Grian Chatten intensely stormed around the Newport stage while cohorts Carlos O’Connell, Conor Curley, Connor Deegan III and Tom Coll laid down the soundscape for the vocalist to deliver his heavy accented poetry.
Fellow Irish band Just Mustard opened the evening.
