Canadian two-piece blues rockers The Blue Stones stopped by Columbus on Friday night for a sold-out gig inside the A&R Music Bar.
Originally scheduled for downstairs in the Basement, the show was bumped up due to demand coming off of local radio support that’s been spinning recent release “Shakin’ Off the Rust” on fairly high rotation since its release late last year.
The duo, comprised of Tarek Jafar and Justin Tessier, took no time in lighting up the show as they dove straight into the above mentioned single, “The Drop” and fan-favorite “Be My Fire,” giving the crowd little time to breath before closing out the evening with “Black Holes (Solid Ground)” and “Rolling With the Punches.”
Fellow Canadian and explosively charismatic singer/songwriter J.J. Wilde opened the night with a captivatingly strong set of powerfully written emo-rock.
