Imagine hopping on a plane at Port Columbus and flying direct to London, Amsterdam, or Frankfurt. According to a Dispatch article today, that’s exactly the type of service the Columbus Regional Airport Authority is looking to add through a public-private cash payment partnership. It sounds like the plans are in very early stages of development, but the right route could service not only Columbus residents, but also those making flight transfers as well as regional travelers from elsewhere in Ohio.
