    Replenish Spa Opens New Location

Replenish Spa – owned and operated by the mother-daughter team of Deja Redman, Chanelle Redman and Wuavette Duncan – strives to create a sense of refuge throughout the entirety of their building. The three women opened their first spa location four years ago in the Discovery District of Downtown Columbus, and are excited to expand their business to a new second location in Clintonville.

Located at 3726 North High Street, Replenish Spa creates an inviting space that offers a unique spa experience. Standard nail stations and pedicure chairs are nowhere in sight. Instead, a long wooden table and fabric chairs are positioned in a way that creates community around the nail experience, and pedicures take place on the pedicure couch. The reception desk is actually a large, upright phonograph and distressed white wooden pieces and bright colorful seating rests in a cozy arrangement around the room. Candles burn from mantles, tables, and windowsills where they are perched next to blue mason jars filled with lavender and eucalyptus. White walls and huge windows are a staple in this structure, flooding the entire space with sunlight. Lyrical music fills the space with a presence like oxygen – you don’t notice it is there until it isn’t.

Having the backgrounds of a yoga instructor, esthetician, and massage therapist, the three owners joined forces to share their belief that “beauty is your birthright.” The three owners believe that the key is self-care and maintenance, and they love creating a judgement-free community where women come together for the goal of recognizing not only their own beauty, but the beauty in the world around them.

Replenish operates under the mission statement, “We are a grassroots revolution in the midst of the city here to awaken the community to live a connected more beautiful everyday life.” One of the ways they stay connected to their community is through local products. Their nail polish — JRJ Nails — comes from Westerville, and their lipstick line — Tart Peach Lipstick — comes from right down the street in Clintonville. They also partner with companies that give back to their communities, including Conscious Coconut. Their line of coconut oil is packaged by adults with developmental disabilities at the MacDonald Training Center, and each purchase of a tube supplies a meal to a child through Feeding America food banks.

Aside from the cozy, inviting space inside the spa, two other things make it a unique operation. Instead of a traditional spa where services are purchased individually, Replenish offers experiences by time. Increments ranging from 15-minutes to two-hours can be purchased and used for whatever service the guest wishes. A member of the Replenish tribe will consult with each guest on their intent and goals for their time, and services will be planned accordingly. Hands, feet, body, face, reflex, energy work, makeup, lash extensions, and massages are all available to guests for however much time they wish to purchase. The other unique aspect of Replenish is their operating system. The three women are the sole owners and operators, and take pride in being a woman-powered business.

In addition to the spa and yoga services offered, the Downtown location offers a community space where families and friends can gather for any occasion. Each event is uniquely planned according to the desires and interests of the clients.
