Rockmill Brewery Planning German Village Location

Soon you may no longer have to venture all the way out to Lancaster to get the full Rockmill Brewery experience. The local Belgian-style brewery has submitted collaborative plans to the German Village Commission to take over half of Juergens Bakery, located at 525 South Fourth Street, to open the “Rockmill Tavern”.

If approved the project would feature a 950 square foot retail and tasting area with a small bar and kitchen, and a new large outdoor patio off the south side of the building that would seat 75 to 100 people. Juergens would retain a smaller central space in the middle of the building.

The German Village Commission is scheduled to conceptually review the patio, new signage, and other exterior modifications that the businesses are requesting, at tomorrow’s meeting.
