The popular burger joint first announced plans for locations in central Ohio last June. Its Easton location is the first of two to open in Columbus, with a store at the Graduate Hotel in the Short North coming at a date to be announced.

The New York City original opened in 2004 and has proliferated rapidly since then, with more than 200 locations now open nationally and internationally. The “roadside” burger stand also offers chicken sandwiches, griddle flat-top hot dogs, fresh-made frozen custard, and crinkle cut fries.

In addition to these traditional menu items, the Easton Town Center Shack will also offer the Easton Bound, a vanilla custard with salted caramel sauce, Fox in the Snow pecan sticky buns and banana; as well as the Shack Attack, a chocolate custard with fudge sauce, chocolate truffle cookie dough, chocolate chunks and sprinkles; and Pie Oh My, a vanilla custard blended with pieces of Fox in the Snow seasonal pie.

Rounding out the menu is a selection of wine as well as local and national brand beers, including Platform Beer Co., Lager Heads, Royal Docks Brewing Co., and Kindred Brewing.

As part of Shake Shack’s Stand For Something Good campaign, the Easton Shack will donate 5% of sales collected from the Pie Oh My to Columbus Gives Back, an organization helping young professionals find social volunteer and philanthropic opportunities.

Shake Shack opens its doors at Easton at 11 a.m. on Sunday, May 19. The first 100 people in line will receive custom Shake Shack merchandise.
