The Short North garnered an amazing four “best of” accolades in the latest issue of Ohio Magazine. The “Special Best of Ohio Issue” features 42 of the staff’s favorite places to visit, things to do, and sights to see.

With a prominent photo in the table of contents pointing to the lead article, the monthly Short North Gallery Hop was heralded as The Best Art Event in the state. Two additional photos appeared in the article along with the listing.

Jeni’s Ice Creams was awarded Best Ice Cream for Foodies, Global Gallery was crowned Best Business with a Cause, and Rosendales received honors for Best Place to Warm Up (replete with a full-page photograph of the restaurant and two additional inlaid photographs).

With its four listings, the Short North Arts District topped all communities in Ohio for most nods.

Thus 2008 starts with a bang, following a spectacular 2007. Last year the Short North received an unprecedented level of regional and national attention capped with articles in The New York Times, the Cleveland Plain Dealer and the Chicago Tribune.
