Short North’s Goody Boy Now Closed

Another chapter of Goody Boy has come to a close in Short North.

One Hospitality’s Goody Boy Burger Club ceased operations earlier this month at 1144 N. High St.

The hospitality group, formerly known as Corso Ventures, took over the property in 2019 opening the neighborhood bar and burger joint as Short North Goody Boy. They gave the space another refresh in 2022 with a more lounge-style feel, streamlined menu and slight name tweak to Goody Boy Burger Club.

The address’ life as a restaurant isn’t over yet, though.

“We are exploring ideas for a new, fresh concept to keep the Short North neighborhood special,” says Justin Kintz of One Hospitality.

Details and a timeline for the new concept have not yet been announced.

One Hospitality continues to operate several other Short North establishments including Pint House, Forno, Standard Hall and Standard Live, as well as Urban Meyer’s Pint House at Bridge Park in Dublin. In 2022, the group also unloaded a trio of its newer concepts – Urban Chophouse, Terrace Bar and Whiskey Lounge – selling the restaurants and building to Shawn Shahnazi. Urban Chophouse has since rebranded to Chophouse 614, while Whiskey Lounge has transformed into members-only club Privé Lounge.
