    Slyders are now the king of the castle in Columbus

    With the sale of local institutions Wendy’s and Max & Erma’s, the Columbus hamburger identity took a major blow this week. Gone are the days when you could call the Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger or the Garbage Burger your own.

    But worry not. There is still one national burger chain headquartered right here in Columbus ready to fill the void left by the departing burger titans.

    White Castle, whose HQ sits at 555 W. Goodale St., can now stake claim to our stomachs. If you must eat a burger from a locally-owned chain, the small, 5-hole, steamed Slyders at White Castle are your only option.
